I rush from my seat to him and put my arms around his neck and
kiss his head softly. “Logan, remember how much you said you
loved me? Please don’t ruin our love just because of the
accident. Logan, please, I love you; please talk to me. Please?” I
beg again with my own tears flooding down my cheeks.

After a few minutes he lifts his head; I have to release him and
take a couple of steps back. I walk around to look at him and try
again to get his attention. Instead he lays the pamphlet down
along with a few other things from his pockets onto the table.
Logan stands from the chair with his tears still falling and walks
away towards our bedroom.

I walk closer to the table and glance down at what he has placed
there. My mind can’t comprehend what I am looking at. I sit
down in the chair Logan was sitting in and stare at the items he
left on the table. I lean back in the chair as my tears are like an
open faucet, pouring down my face.
“This can’t be true.”
